about

I am an American freelance content writer with over a decade of experience. Professionally, I have worked across many industries, delivering effective writing, editing, and research in creative, academic, technology, and scientific genres.

For example, I have:

  • Worked as an content marketing writer for small marketing agencies, developing compelling SEO-optimized articles that land in the top 10 positions in Google searches.
  • Written countless articles for various blogs and companies about food, women’s health, CBD, pharmaceuticals, and more.
  • Worked on staff for an education company designing literature curriculum, creating lesson plans based on works of literature for middle and high school students.

Throughout my professional career, ghostwriting, content marketing, copywriting, and editing have been integral components of what I do. Whether crafting original content or refining articles, blog posts, or various forms of writing, I consistently uphold a commitment to thorough research, ensuring a foundation rooted in factual accuracy.

I am passionate about my craft and take pride in delivering effective and polished work to my clients.

Formally, I graduated with an MFA in Poetry in 2010.

For a bit of context, when I graduated with my MFA, I was a terrified 25-year-old with little professional job experience, as I’d worked my way through college and grad school as a server. My grad school internships as a writing tutor and editor for the school’s lit journal didn’t make me feel confident at the time. So, I moved to Buenos Aires, not ready to do what many of my peers were doing—finding adjunct teaching positions around the country. My idea was to move abroad and find work teaching English, but instead I accidentally started my career as a freelance writer.

I say “accidentally” because, like many in their mid-20s, I didn’t think it through—I moved to Argentina right as their summer started, which meant school was out. Suddenly, I was desperate to make money, so I scoured the internet for writing work and took whatever low-paying gigs I could find. That’s how I stumbled into freelance writing, and I’m so grateful I did. Getting to do what I love while working my own hours from home has been a dream-come-true.

Aside from my professional work as a writer, I am a published poet, an avid reader, and an obsessed dog mama. I speak fluent Spanish and I love to explore near and far.
